COVID-19 and your time with us

Last Updated: 17/03/2021

The response to Covid-19 continues to be varied, unpredictable and ever-changing.

From “level 1” in some regions, to complete lockdown in others.  And as ever, much may change within the next 7 days!   Two things are clear;  a) we each have an individual responsibility to act with care and to do the right thing and  b) travel between certain areas is not allowed.

Our number one priority is the health & wellbeing of you, our team and the wider community so please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to operate as responsibly and safely as possible.

The information below will be regularly monitored as we seek to follow best advice from the Scottish Government and the Scottish Tourism industry – but as always if you have any questions about your time with us please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

If you are booking accommodation for a future date, PLEASE give serious consideration to taking out suitable holiday insurance or our “peace of mind” cover (designed to be there for you, across these so-uncertain times).

We are excited to be re-opening our Clubhouse building/reception area on the 26th of April, in line with latest government guidelines.

In the meantime, our team are still working from home so please bear with us whilst we handle your requests. Phone lines are busy so if you need to get in touch the best way is by email – talk@woodlands.scot.

Please wear your mask and keep a safe distance in The Clubhouse and other shared spaces.  You’ll notice one-way systems in some areas, and hand sanitising stations throughout.

We have increased our already excellent cleaning standards in all common areas and all of the team have been trained in COVID-19 best practice.

Following the latest announcement from the First Minister (16/03/21), all accommodation will be closed in line with government guidance. If you have a booking with us during this time, we will be in touch. Our booking calendar is OPEN for bookings from the 26th of April and onwards! We look forward to welcoming you.

All of our lodges are private, secluded and with good spacing between one another.  Since starting RiverBeds we have offered self-service check-in/out so there’s total privacy and this is what people love about our lodges.  Our cleaning procedures, while best-in-class before, have been completely overhauled in response to COVID-19 and our team take your safety really seriously.  Our hope is that you can be completely “self-contained” during your stay with us and our lodges are the perfect place to hide away from all that’s happening, reconnect and relax.

All bookings are 100% non-refundable, so please really do make sure that you have insurance to cover any change in circumstances.  We offer “peace of mind” cover that can be purchased when booking to cover any COVID related issues which may interrupt your stay with us – this is strongly recommended given the circumstances.

Like other areas of our business, our activity centre will be closed while Level 4 restrictions are in place. We hope to reopen it when restrictions are lifted on the 26th of April, if not sooner, for activities that can be done outdoors with social distancing in place! More information to be announced.

Our activities are running with extra safety, distancing & hygene measures in place as per industry best practice.

Please do book online if possible, and remember your mask!

We’ve sadly made the decision to keep the cafe closed until further notice.

Golf is allowed within Level 4 restrictions (more info).  Safe play is critically important to everyone.  New procedures for players are clearly noted on the course in appropriate places, and we ask that all players please review Scottish Golf’s guidance before playing. Latest guidance allows a maximum of two people, from two households to meet outside – please take this into consideration when planning your round!

  • Clubhouse / Toilets:  The clubhouse and toilets are not open while Level 4 restrictions are in place. However, they will re-open when the main reception building opens on the 26th of April!
